sometimes i forget what life is like outside the little world i live in. i forget how horrible and terrifying are realities on the doorstep. i forget how struggle, beauty and joy rise like morning dew into the heavens and can fall just the same. i forget. i don't think it's entirely a problem of memory. one thing to commit to memory: "our weapons are in our chests". But it's more than remembering that. i need to wield my weapons more, build my defenses and my windows. i need to move. i need to find something or someone to fight, to love.
